Round One of the NBA Playoffs!

The Houston Rockets head into round one of the playoffs, playing against the Oklahoma City Thunders in a seven game series. Houston had a very tough time against the Thunders in game one. The Rockets ended up losing the opener 120 to 91. Notable players were James Harden, Omer Asik, Chandler Parsons, and Patrick Beverley. Harden had a tough time with his shots in the first half, only shooting 1 for 7 in the first quarter. He ended up with 20 points, 2 assists, and 6 rebounds. Asik was rebounding like he was during the season. He was able to only grab 7 rebounds and 9 rebounds. Parsons scored 9 points and had 3 rebounds. Beverley who came off the bench scored 11 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds.


The Rockets head back to Oklahoma City for game two. Houston lost to Oklahoma City in a very tight game. They came back from a 15 point deficit in the fourth quarter, but ended up losing 105 to 102. Notable players were James Harden, Omer Asik, Chandler Parsons, and Patrick Beverley. Harden had an amazing game scoring 36 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. Asik was rebounding like he was during the season. He had 14 rebounds and 9 points. Parsons was able to score 17 points and 7 rebounds. Patrick Beverley was able to start game two after great performance during the game one. This was a good decision by Houston's staff. Beverley scored 16 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Oklahoma City now heads to Houston for game three and four.

  
Houston sets to get a win against Oklahoma City at their home stadium. Unfortunately they lose to another very tight game. Oklahoma City defeated the Houston 104 to 101. Notable players were James Harden, Chandler Parsons, and Francisco Garcia. Harden led the team with 30 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Both Parsons and Garcia shot fifty percent from beyond the arc. Parson had 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. Garcia was able to score 18 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. Houston has a great amount of pressure put on them. If they lose in game four the Rockets will be eliminated from the Playoffs.


The Houston Rockets have done it! They were able to defeat Oklahoma City in another close game. Houston defeated Oklahoma City 105 to 103. Notable players were Chandler Parsons, Patrick Beverley, James Harden, Omer Asik, and Carlos Delfino. Parsons led the team with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. Beverley had 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Harden had a tough time with turnovers on game four. He had a total of 10 turnovers, but provided the team 15 points, 5 steals, and 3 assists. Asik was able to record a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Delfino scored 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists from the bench. He shot 3 for 5 from beyond the arc. Houston has survived another day of the Playoffs. Lets hope they can continue the momentum for game five.

Houston Rockets Competes in the Playoffs!


It is official that the Houston Rockets have made it into the playoffs. The Rockets have played their final game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday. It was an important game to watch! Due to both teams competing for the 7th seed of the Western Conference. Houston headed to the Staple Center in Los Angeles, California to play a very tight game against the Lakers. It was very exciting game. In the last seconds of the 4th quarter Chandler Parsons made an incredible buzzer beater shot, that sent both teams to overtime. The Rockets fell short to a victory, only losing 99 to 95. Notable players were James Harden, Chandler Parsons, Jeremy Lin, Omer Asik, and Greg Smith. Harden was the leading scorer for both teams with 30 points. Although he had 6 turnovers, he was able to grab 8 rebounds and dish out 3 assists. Houston can thank Parsons for the awesome buzzer beater shot that sent the game to overtime. He had 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Lin scored 12 points and had 8 assists. Both Asik and Smith scored 8 points each while Asik also grabbed 12 rebounds. Smith was had 10 rebounds.





Now that the regular season is over, were now into the Playoffs. The Houston Rockets will be playing 1st seed of the Western Conference, Oklahoma City Thunders. Houston against Oklahoma City will be an entertaining playoff series. Both teams have an incredible offense, so be ready to see awesome plays and highlights! Houston's first playoff game is on April 21st, so be sure to watch!
